Today we feature another nominee in our Voters’ Choice campaign—Tony and Emmy Award winner, Hugh Jackman.

He was voted People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2008, but Hugh Jackman is more than just a pretty face. He is a versatile performer—actor, singer, and dancer—who won a Tony Award for The Boy from Oz and an Emmy for hosting the Tonys. He is also a devoted husband and father of two children. He speaks openly of the importance of family and the strength of his marriage, saying of his wife of fourteen years: “I know we will be happy together for the rest of our lives; she enhances my life.”

Hugh Jackman is a long-time supporter of charities that benefit children. He has worked with Operation of Hope, an organization that raises funds to provide facial surgery for poor children. He is a Global Advisor with the Global Poverty Project, which seeks to show people how even the simplest actions on their part can make a big difference in the fight against poverty. He is a supporter of The Art of Elysium, an organization that provides arts workshops for children with serious illness. He and his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, have given their time to the Worldwide Orphans Foundation and acted as Honorary Committee Co-Chairs at a 2009 gala benefitting the organization.

Mr. Jackman is also a vocal proponent of microcredit and a supporter of microcredit pioneer and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Muhammad Yunus.

You can read more about Hugh Jackman and cast your vote for him at the Team Jackman Facebook page http://bit.ly/VoteHugh. The campaign ends June 17, so cast your vote before then and be sure to sign the petition too, since it will be delivered directly to Mr. Jackman if he is one of the winning nominees.
