The Pixel Project Weekend Webinar Series
Introduction
Our Weekend Webinar series is a public education series to help the global community to understand Violence Against Women and to learn about ways they can take action to end gender violence.
Our next webinar will be by Urjasi Rudra, Coordinator of UNIFEM’s global “Say NO – UNiTE to End Violence Against Women” campaign and will take place at 6pm EST 27 March 2010 (Saturday).
All webinars are free for all to view and participate in – just register ahead of time or on the day and click to enter The Webinar Room.
We require registration because:
- We will be able to reach you by email should there be any changes in scheduling.
- We will be able to count you in for UNIFEM’s “Say NO – UNiTE” campaign’s collection of 1 million ‘actions’ against Violence Against Women. That’s right – by participating, your action will automatically be counted in!
We also ask all participants to try and persuade the boys and men in your life to attend these webinars – it’s time to show them why they need to step up to work with girls and women to end violence against women in their cultures, communities and societies no matter where they are.
We encourage everybody to participate in the Q&A session where the speaker will be taking questions via the chatbox after his or her 15 minute presentation.
To participate through the chatbox here or via Ustream, please register for a username and password at UStream. Again, it’s free and takes a minute or two to do so.
All webinars will be moderated to prevent trolling and other forms of negative disruption.
Thank you and we hope you enjoy our Webinars!
*To find out when the webinar airs during your timezone, please go to http://www.timeanddate.com. For viewers and participants in the Middle East, Asia and Australia/New Zealand, please add one day.
